Horn Player Beth Holloway Wins Young Artist Competition

 

After much deliberation, our judges chose Miss Holloway to be this year’s Young Artist. A senior at Eaglecrest High School, Aurora, CO, Beth has received many awards for her outstanding musicianship. She plays the Mellophone in the marching band, and French Horn in both the symphonic band and the orchestra at Eaglecrest High School.

Beth received the Eaglecrest Outstanding Musician Award in 2003, 2004 and 2005, and has performed with the Arapahoe Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, the Denver Young Artist Orchestra, and received an award for Outstanding Pit Musician in 2005.  She has played French Horn for seven years under the instruction of Mr. Mark Denekas.

Beth plans to attend the University of Northern Colorado in the fall and major in music education.  Please join us in congratulating her for her achievement in music and for a talented performance at this year's Young Artist Concert.
