The Central Presbyterian Church
Our home is the Central Presbyterian Church at 1660 Sherman Street. Sitting at the corner of 17th Avenue and Sherman, this tall sandstone structure is centrally located in the heart of Denver. It's literally two blocks north of the State Capitol and one block east of downtown. You'll find ample parking close by.
Directions from I-25:
Take I-25 to Colfax Avenue. Go east on Colfax to Sherman. Left on Sherman. See map below (place the mouse pointer over the map and "right click" with the mouse to print the map).
Parking:
1. There is parking right across the street in the Time Park lot (access from 16th Avenue -see photo below). The "Time Park" lot exact change charge on Saturday is $3/day.
2. If the Time Park lot across the street is full, there is a "Ruiz Parking" lot adjacent and just down the hill a bit along 16th Avenue (corner of Lincoln & 16th Avenue - see photo below). This attended lot is $5 on weekends after 4 p.m. and there are plenty of spaces available to still make for a short walk.
3. There is also a "Chaves Parking" lot at the SW corner of Grant and 16th Avenue. Simply turn right (east) when you get to 16th Avenue and Sherman. It will be on the right just before Grant. The exact change charge is $3/day on Saturday.
4. There are also metered parking spaces along Sherman, Lincoln, and Grant streets - as well as along 17th Avenue (no meters along 16th or 18th Avenues). Check the posted hours on the meter, as parking may be free after a certain time.
5. There are additional $2 or $3 parking lots at Sherman and 18th Avenue, (one block north of Central Pres.) including a Central Parking Lot next to the 1700 Sherman St. Events Center. A $2/all day Saturday "Time Park" lot is on the NW corner of 18th Ave. and Sherman.
Note that the parking garage just south of and next to the church is private and is not to be used. "No Parking - Reserved" signs are always posted at the entrance.
Why not park early and walk over to the 16th Street Mall for dinner before the concert?
