The Denver Concert Band would especially like to thank Frank & Sheila Parce for contributing funds years ago to help fund extra DCB marketing/publicity. These funds are still assisting the band in the form of the "Frank Parce Fund," one of the three funds that make up the DCB Endowment Fund (see below).


All of our musicians pay yearly dues to help offset costs. However our financial needs far outpace our ability to pay out of our own pocket. Thanks to the generous donors and corporate sponsors of the DCB, we are able to share our love of music with you.

Tribute and Memorial Gifts (noted in bold) - Established as a way to honor a special milestone or accomplishment for friends and supporters of the Denver Concert Band. For information, or to make a donation, please contact Barry Smith at (303) 286-9934.

Donations to the DCB can be made at a variety of levels:

Donors may also make a "restricted" contribution to the band to help fund specific items such as music purchases, instruments (especially percussion), the various marketing publications, the "Show and Tell Band," etc. If interested, please contact the band to find out where your gift might help the most. DCB Endowment Fund

In addition to being able to contribute to the operating account as summarized above, you may now also contribute to our Endowment Fund. The Endowment Fund was set up so that only the earnings of the fund are to be used to help the band. The principal is to be maintained. The DCB Endowment Fund (with unique tax ID number) is a perfect vehicle for planned estate gifts, for example.

The DCB Endowment Fund is managed quarterly by three custodians: Sharon Calanni,  Thad McDonald, and Paul Plath. The custodians serve staggered 3 year terms.

There are three Endowment Fund options:

1. Gene Chick Fund (Unrestricted Fund - the earnings are transferred into the operating account at a periodic rate.)

2. Frank Parce Fund (Restricted Fund for marketing purposes. The board authorizes the specific use of the earnings after a committee recommendation.)

3. Joy of Education Fund (Restricted Fund where earnings help with the costs associated with the Young Artist Scholarship and "Show and Tell Band" to defined percentages of 75% and 25% respectively.)
